Tips for Making Your Master Bathroom Much More Comfortable

Tips for Making Your Master Bathroom Much More Comfortable

Your master bathroom should be a hideaway in your own home.

Your master bathroom should be a hideaway in your own home. Whether you want a new bathtub, a larger, more luxurious vanity, or better lighting, here are some tips for making your master bathroom much more comfortable.

Find a New Bathtub

A bubble bath is one of the best ways to relax. But even when you always clean out the bathtub you have now after every bath, eventually your bathtub is going to wear down. If the tub you have now is attached to the wall, consider the merits of a freestanding bathtub instead. If you’re looking forward to jacuzzi season, you could also choose a jetted tub that mimics the design of a hot tub. At the same time, you may want a new shower. After all, most of the time a shower is more efficient than having a soak. Depending on the design of your master bathroom, the bathtub and shower are probably combined. Make sure the tiles are a relaxing color,  and think about the lighting in your master bathroom so you can see more easily.

Update the Lighting

If your bathroom light switch operates as a simple on-off configuration, that might make your bathroom too dark or flood it with light. Consider updating the lighting your bathroom – a dimmer switch can set the mood elsewhere in your home, so don’t hesitate to incorporate it into your master bathroom.

Enhance the Vanity

The vanity and the cabinets are a critical element of your master bathroom. Having the right amount of storage makes a difference, as too much clutter everywhere will stress you out instead of helping you relax. So make your vanity larger to compensate. Sometimes, it might just need a facelift, especially if you need to repair visible signs of damage.

Don’t Forget to Repaint

Paint makes a huge difference in how a room feels. Since you want to make your bathroom a place to relax and have some time for yourself, don’t overlook the importance of the paint on the walls. Cooler colors such as different shades of blue might be a better idea whether you want to unwind at the end of a long day or are just powering up while getting ready for work. Whatever color you pick, make sure it works with the color of the tiles on your floor.
