Remodeling your kitchen presents you with a blank slate. This project could be what you’ve been searching for all this time. Giving your kitchen walls a fresh start has never been this easy

Play with the 3-Color Palette

Start the process off by playing around with the so-called 3-color palette. By using the right colors, you can rejuvenate the look of your kitchen with a minimum of time and effort involved. One of the current colors won’t or can’t be changed at all; this is an unfortunate reality of renovating your kitchen. Let this be either a countertop or a set of cabinets. The second element of the palette is a neutral shade that blends well with the first color. That way, you have a clean canvas for any new decorations you want to hang. Finally, find another paint that can make your kitchen walls pop. Bar stools, vases, cookware, and other less noticeable surfaces, such as the backsplash, can provide this splash of excitement without being too obnoxious.

Find an Anchor Point

After selecting the paints, choose a focal point. This focal point will serve as an anchor to tie the whole room together. Decorate the walls in your kitchen as if you have never seen it before, and thus, have no preconceived notions of its previous aesthetic. Putting a focal point in the kitchen can draw the eye and grab the attention of any visitors who come inside. Use the same bold color as one of the ones from your 3-color palette, only applied over a single wall. Alternatively, you can choose a large painting or wallpaper to serve as the anchor.

Install Some Open Shelving

Open shelving is another popular design option. After all, it is one of the trendiest ways to give your kitchen a makeover. That way, you will have more visual space available. Floating shelves on an empty wall can be a quicker change than replacing old closed cabinets with an open shelf.

Pick and Choose the Design

There are also other ideas that you can experiment with to see which one you like best. Frame some of your favorite album covers and hang them up. Frames and shadow boxes filled with sentimental photos or small figurines can also be a fun way to give your new kitchen some additional personality. Don’t be afraid to test out differently-sized mirrors as well.
